Cultural Kaleidoscope

Cultural Kaleidoscope is a series of puzzles crafted to combat cultural identity dilution in urban school children. After weeks of research, a fun series of continued puzzles in order to spread awareness about the rituals native to the plethora of diverse cultures in India.

The Timeline

Why Puzzles?

The collaborative nature of puzzling requires shared interpretation and discussion, naturally prompting the children to ask what a symbol means, where it comes from, and why it exists. Because puzzles demand sustained visual attention, they will also produce high retention.

The Sketch and The Palette

The color palette represents the vibrant colors of Punjab, the mustard yellow symbolizes the mustard fields, the brown is inspired by the wooden dhol drum. There's phulkari pink, peacock blue and
ivory white which represents the humility and purity of the culture.

The Puzzle

Why a Series Of UNFINISHED Puzzles?

The puzzles are solved in groups and ultimately join to create a giant puzzle, creating a tapestry showing India’s vast diversity.
